NOTICE INVITING BIDS for the construction of the Ojai Valley Sanitary District’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Roof Improvement Project located at the District’s Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 6363 N. BID OPENING Ojai Valley Sanitary District (OVSD or District) hereby invites sealed Bids for constructing the WWTP Roof Improvement Project in accordance with the District’s Contract Documents including its Specifications No. 2025-12R1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Work includes the following: remove existing aggregate ballast (approx. 5,150 sq ft) and replace with membrane roof system, remove and relace metal coping, and all ancillary work. Additionally, there is one additive alternate bid. Alternate bid one includes removal and replacement of existing domed skylights with curbs and removal and replacement of removable skylights. The Engineer’s Estimate for this Work is $500,000, including the add alternate bid items. Ventura Ave., Ventura, CA 93001 on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check or by a Bidder’s bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders (the “Bidder’s Security”) as a guaranty. The Bidder that is awarded the Contract (the “Successful Bidder”) shall be required to obtain the insurance required by the Contract Documents and to furnish a faithful performance bond and a payment bond which shall each be at least one-hundred percent (100%) of the total amounts payable by the terms of the Contract. Bidders are reminded that they must comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code pertaining to the payment of prevailing wage rates (Labor Code §1770 et seq.). Each Bidder shall be licensed by the California State License Board as a Class C-39 Roofing Contractor at the time of submitting the Bid or the Bid will be rejected. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless they are registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. As provided in California Public Contract Code Section 22300, the Successful Bidder shall be permitted to substitute securities for money that would otherwise be withheld by the District under the Contract.
