NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Placentia will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers of the Placentia City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Avenue on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to consider the following item: Applicant: City of PlacentiaProject Location:CitywideCase No.:Zoning Code Amendment (ZCA) No. 2026-03 PROJECT DESCRIPTION/REQUEST:Zoning Code Amendment ZCA 2026-03 - Consideration of an Ordinance amending Chapter 23.23 of the Placentia Municipal Code relating to Density Bonus in accordance with State law. Environmental Determination (CEQA): This Ordinance is categorically exempt under the common sense exemption of CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) which provides that CEQA does not apply where it can be seen with certainty that the project will not have any significant impacts on the environment. Previous Actions:On May 12, 2026, the Placentia Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. PC-2026-09, recommending that City Council find that adoption of the Zoning Code Amendment No. ZCA 2026-03 is exempt from CEQA pursuant to the common sense exemption of CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3); and, recommending that City Council approve Zoning Code Amendment No. 2026-03. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are invited to attend this hearing and express opinions upon the items listed above. ANY WRITTEN MATERIALS to be submitted to the City Council should be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the hearing. Ten (10) copies are requested. IF YOU CHALLENGE this proposal in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearings described in this notice or written correspondence delivered to the City Council.
