
VENTURA COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS HVAC REPLACEMENT PROJECT 2400 CONEJO SPECTRUM STREET, THOUSAND OAKS, CA 91320 NOTICE INVITING BIDS – DECEMBER 29, 2025 Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received in the bid box at the Ventura County Fire Protection District’s main office located at 2400 Conejo Spectrum Street, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320 not later than 1:00 PM, January 27, 2026 for a contract for the Headquarters HVAC Replacement Project located at 2400 Conejo Spectrum Street, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320. Estimated cost of construction is: $2,426,687. General Description of the Work: The Work includes the following: This Contract is for the Headquarters HVAC Replacement Project. In general, the Work includes demolition and disposal of three existing rooftop HVAC units and installation of Owner-furnished Contractor-installed Trane HVAC units including all new rooftop ductwork, isolation system, roof repair, bracing and framing. Work also includes removal and replacement of all interior VAV units including associated ceiling removal and replacement, flex duct replacement at supply and returns, piping and valves as shown in the bid plans and specifications. Construction plans have been approved through Ventura County Building & Safety (herein VCBS) Permit BP25-03027. Technical Specifications are in APPENDIX 1 and the Drawings are in APPENDIX 2. The awarded Contractor shall pull the permit and approved Drawings from VCBS and shall comply with all permit conditions, including any required inspections and documentation throughout construction. The Fire District shall pay for the permits. All work shall be completed in accordance with the scheduling requirements outlined in the Bid Specifications, Basic Contract Requirements, Part 2, Project Schedule Details plus 21 calendar days for mobilization from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. See the Contract Documents for a complete description of the Work. All Work must be completed within ninety-five (95) working days after the starting date. All work shall be completed in accordance with the scheduling requirements outlined in the Bid Specifications, Basic Contract Requirements, Part 2, Project Schedule Details plus 15 working days for mobilization from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Prevailing Wage/Department of Industrial Relations (DIR): This project consists of “public works” under Labor Code section 1720 et seq. subject to payment of prevailing wages.
