
COUNTY OF SANTA CRUZ DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE DIVISION OF PUBLIC WORKS NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The County of Santa Cruz Department of Community Development & Infrastructure (CDI) is accepting electronic Proposal submissions for the SAN LORENZO WAY BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, FEDERAL PROJECT NO. BRLO-5936(086) A digital copy of the Contract documents is available free of charge and can be downloaded via the online procurement portal, OpenGov, https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/santacruzcounty A hard copy of the Contract documents will be made available for purchase for $60.00 at the County of Santa Cruz Department of Public Works, Room 410, 701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, California. No partial sets will be issued. Bid opening will occur on June 18, 2026, no later than 2:00 p.m. and soon thereafter, will be publicly opened and read. This project involves the construction of a cast in place concrete box girder with post tensioning, abutment construction, drainage and grading, traffic control, utility relocations and revegetation work. Work also includes demolition of the existing structure. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time that this contract is awarded. The Department of Public Works hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Attention is directed to the Federal minimum wage rate requirements in the Proposal and the State general prevailing wage rate requirements in the Special Provisions. If there is a difference between the minimum wage rates predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and the general prevailing wage rates determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations for similar classifications of labor, the Contractor and subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rate.
